Sumichan Artspace was founded in 2018 as a by-appointment only art gallery in Jakarta. It is committed to sourcing art of various media from Indonesia and all over the world. Its core mission is to promote Indonesian contemporary art and artists to a wider audience globally, be it on site or online.

The founder and owner, Mia Sumichan, was born into a family of art traders, and grew up with the inclination to pursue the same line of work as her father and grandfather before her. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Academy of Art University and Master of Business Administration from University of San Francisco in 2011 and 2013 respectively, and has jumped straight into the art business since then.

Sumichan Artspace has long understood the need and desire for more affordable art among new colllectors. This is why Sumichan Artspace partnered up with artists to sell art prints geared toward uses as decorative pieces or interior furnishings. Aiming to be a one-stop shop for all your art needs, Sumichan Artspace strive to provide the newest, most innovative and creative talent to dedicated collectors all over the world.
